Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt.

  3. Add the cold butter to the flour mixture and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut it into pea-sized pieces.

  4. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.

  5. Gradually pour in the milk while stirring until the mixture forms a soft dough.

  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a greased baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the biscuits turn golden brown.

  8. Remove from the oven and brush the tops with melted butter.

  9. Serve warm and enjoy!
