How To Make No Sour Cream Beef Stroganoff Recipe
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz sliced mushrooms
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
- Egg noodles or rice, for serving
Instructions
-
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, sauté until translucent.
-
Add beef slices to the skillet, cooking until browned on all sides. Remove beef from skillet and set aside.
-
In the same skillet, add mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture.
-
Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir well to coat. Cook for 1 minute to remove the raw flour taste.
-
Slowly add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard to the skillet, whisking continuously to prevent lumps.
-
Return the beef to the skillet and simmer for 10 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
-
Stir in Greek yogurt and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
-
Serve the beef stroganoff over egg noodles or rice, garnished with fresh parsley.
