How To Make Simple Beef Stroganoff Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions

In a large skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, sauté until softened.

Add sliced beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Remove beef from skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture. Remove mushrooms from skillet and set aside.

In the skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour until smooth to make a roux.

Gradually whisk in beef broth, cooking until thickened. Add sour cream and stir until well combined.

Return beef and mushrooms to the skillet. Simmer for 10 minutes, allowing flavors to combine.

Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice.
