How To Make Easy Beef Stroganoff Recipe

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Cooked egg noodles or rice (for serving)


  1. In a large skillet, heat the butter over medium heat. Add the beef slices and cook until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  2. In the same skillet, add the onions and garlic. Cook until softened.

  3. Add the mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and start to brown.

  4. Add the flour to the skillet and stir to combine with the mushrooms and onions.

  5. Slowly add the beef broth, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.

  6. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the sour cream. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.

  7. Return the cooked beef slices to the skillet and heat through.

  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  9. Serve the beef stroganoff over cooked egg noodles or rice.

  10. Garnish with fresh parsley.
