Serves:
Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds beef chuck roast
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cans (15.5 ounces each) Boston baked beans
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
-
Trim the beef chuck roast of excess fat and cut into 1-inch cubes.
-
In a large oven-safe pot or Dutch oven, brown the beef over medium-high heat. Once browned, remove the beef from the pot and set aside.
-
In the same pot, add the diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
-
In a bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
-
Add the browned beef back to the pot and pour the ketchup mixture over it. Stir to coat the beef evenly.
-
Stir in the Boston baked beans.
-
Cover the pot with a lid and transfer to the preheated oven. Cook for 3 to 4 hours, or until the beef is tender and the flavors have melded together.
-
Serve hot and enjoy the delicious Beef & Boston Baked Beans!
