How To Make Baked Beans Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 cups dried navy beans
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cups water
Instructions

Rinse the dried navy beans and remove any debris. Place them in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let the beans soak for 1 hour. Drain and rinse the beans.

Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).

In a large oven-safe pot or Dutch oven, combine the soaked beans, diced onion, minced garlic, brown sugar, molasses, ketchup, mustard, salt, black pepper, and water. Stir well to combine.

Cover the pot with a lid and place in the preheated oven. Bake for 3-4 hours, or until the beans are tender and the sauce has thickened, stirring occasionally.

Once the baked beans are done, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
