How To Make Salted Caramel Popcorn

Nothing marries sweet and salty better than this salted caramel popcorn recipe. This snack is also a mix of textures; crunchy, chewy, and soft all at once.

Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 10 minutes
Total: 20 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • ½cuppopcorn kernels,uncooked
  • 1cupbrown sugar
  • ¼cupbutter
  • ½cuplight Karo syrup
  • ½cupsweetened condensed milk
  • ½tspsea salt, more or less to taste

Instructions

  1. Pop the popcorn kernels in an air popper machine and pop into a large bowl. Set aside.

  2. On medium high heat in a medium saucepan, cook the brown sugar, butter, and karo syrup. Allow to come to a boil. Add the sweetened condensed milk and sea salt.

  3. Allow to softly boil for about 3 to 4 minutes until it gets to the softball stage. Be careful to not cook too long and allow it to burn.

  4. Pour the caramel over the popped popcorn. Mix with a wooden spoon to make sure that it can all be coated evenly.

  5. Serve and enjoy!
