
How To Make Caramel Corn
You don’t have to wait for Christmas to enjoy good caramel corn. Salty sweet caramel complete this sticky and crunchy snack.

- 6qtspopped popcorn,approximately ¾ cup kernels
- 1cupbutter
- ½cuplight corn syrup
- 2cupsbrown sugar
- 1tspsalt
- ½tspbaking soda
- 1tspvanilla
- 1½cupspecans,or peanuts, optional
Instructions

Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.

Melt butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 5 minutes without stirring.

Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda.

Pour over popped corn (and optional mix-ins) and mix well to combine.

Spread mixture over two 9×13-inch pans and bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
