Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 cups walnuts
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a large skillet, combine the sugar, water, cinnamon, and salt. Heat over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is bubbling.
-
Add the walnuts to the skillet and stir to coat evenly. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the walnuts are lightly toasted and the glaze has thickened.
-
Transfer the candied walnuts to the prepared baking sheet, spreading them out in a single layer.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the walnuts are golden brown and crispy.
-
Remove from the oven and let cool completely. The walnuts will become crunchy as they cool.
-
Once cooled, store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
