How To Make Bison Chili Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground bison meat
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed (15 oz)
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 cups beef broth

Instructions

  1. Heat a large pot over medium-high heat. Add bison meat and cook until browned, about 5–7 minutes.

  2. Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.

  3. Add diced tomatoes, kidney beans, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, and salt.

  4. Pour in beef broth and stir to combine ingredients.

  5. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 1.5–2 hours.

  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
