Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground bison
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. In a large bowl, mix together bison, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic, egg, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.

  3. Form mixture into 16 meatballs.

  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  5. Brown meatballs on all sides, about 5 minutes.

  6. Transfer meatballs to a baking dish and cover with marinara sauce.

  7. Bake for 20 minutes, until meatballs are cooked through.

  8. Serve hot.
