How To Make Bison Skillet Hash Recipe

A hearty and flavorful breakfast skillet featuring bison, potatoes, and vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground bison
  • 2 large potatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 red pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 eggs

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  2. Add diced potatoes to the skillet and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. Add in the diced onion and red pepper and cook for another 5 minutes.

  4. Push the vegetables to the side of the skillet and add the ground bison to the center of the skillet.

  5. Cook until the bison is browned, stirring occasionally and breaking it into small pieces.

  6. Add minced garlic, smoked paprika, thyme, salt, and black pepper and stir until combined.

  7. Make four wells in the mixture and crack an egg into each well.

  8. Cover the skillet and cook until the eggs are cooked to your liking, around 5-7 minutes.

  9. Serve hot.
