How To Make Crawfish Boil Recipe
A classic Cajun-inspired seafood boil loaded with fresh crawfish, potatoes, corn, and sausages.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 8 lbs live crawfish
- 3 lbs baby potatoes
- 6 corn on the cob, shucked and halved
- 1 lb smoked sausages, sliced
- 4 lemons, halved
- 1 cup of seafood boil seasonings
- 8 garlic cloves, peeled
- 2 onions, halved
- 4 bay leaves
- 1 tbsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- Salt to taste
Instructions

Fill a large pot halfway with water and add the seafood boil seasonings, garlic, onion, bay leaves, and cayenne pepper. Bring to a boil.

Add the potatoes and cook for 10 minutes.

Add the corn and sausages and cook for 5 more minutes.

Add the crawfish to the pot and cook for another 5-7 minutes, until the crawfish are fully cooked and bright red.

Once fully cooked, use a slotted spoon to remove everything from the pot and transfer to a large platter.

Drizzle the melted butter over the crawfish boil and sprinkle with salt to taste.

Serve with lemon halves on the side.
