  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugars until combined.

  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until well-combined.

  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  7. Use a cookie scoop to drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet.

  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.

  9. Melt the white chocolate chips and vegetable oil in a microwave, stirring every 30 seconds.

  10. Drizzle melted chocolate onto the cooled cookies to create a spiderweb pattern.

  11. Let the chocolate harden before serving.
