How To Make Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe
This moist and decadent carrot cake is made with freshly grated carrots and topped with creamy and tangy cream cheese frosting.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups grated carrots
- For Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups powdered sugar
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch cake pan.

In a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in grated carrots.

Pour the batter into the cake pan and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

Let the cake cool completely in the pan before removing it to a serving platter.

For Cream Cheese Frosting, beat the butter and cream cheese together until light and fluffy. Add vanilla extract and powdered sugar and beat until smooth.
