How To Make Easter Bunny Cake Recipe

Adorable bunny-shaped cake for Easter celebrations.

Ingredients

  • Cake:
  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of water
  • Frosting:
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3 cups of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
  • Food coloring (pink and green)
  • Decorations:
  • Jelly beans
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven according to box instructions.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil and water. Mix well.

  3. Pour cake mixture into two 9-inch cake pans. Bake according to box instructions.

  4. Let the cakes cool for 10 minutes.

  5. While cakes cool, prepare frosting by beating butter in a mixing bowl until creamy.

  6. Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract and milk. Mix until smooth.

  7. Divide frosting into three bowls and add food coloring (pink and green) to two of the bowls.

  8. Assemble bunny cake by cutting one of the cakes in half.

  9. Place one whole cake on serving dish. Spread white frosting on top.

  10. Place the cut cake on top of the white frosting. Spread pink frosting on top.

  11. Place the other half of the cut cake on top of the pink frosting. Spread green frosting around the side of the bunny.

  12. Decorate bunny cake with jelly beans, mini marshmallows and chocolate chips.
