- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.

In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.

Stir in the raisins and chopped walnuts.

Spoon the batter into the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.
