How To Make Ground Sausage and Cheese Quesadillas
A delicious Mexican-inspired dish filled with flavorful ground sausage and melted cheese.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground sausage
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1/4 cup diced green pepper
- 1/4 cup diced red pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Cook ground sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Add onion, green pepper, and red pepper and continue cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes.

Add garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet and stir to combine.

Lay one flour tortilla on a flat surface and sprinkle with 1/2 cup of shredded cheese.

Spoon 1/4 of the sausage mixture on top of the cheese and fold the tortilla in half.

Repeat with the remaining tortillas and ingredients.

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and place the folded tortilla in the pan.

Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until the tortilla is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Cut into wedges and serve hot.
