Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of broccoli, cut into florets
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Steam the broccoli florets until tender, about 5-7 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.

  3. Add the steamed broccoli florets to the skillet and toss to coat with the garlic-infused oil.

  4. Sprinkle dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper over the broccoli. Stir well to evenly distribute the herbs and spices.

  5. Cook the broccoli for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it is heated through and lightly browned.

  6. Remove the skillet from heat and drizzle freshly squeezed lemon juice over the broccoli.

  7. Serve the herby broccoli as a side dish or incorporate it into your favorite recipes.
