  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup chopped banana peppers

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. Mix cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together oil, milk, and egg.

  4. Pour liquid mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Add banana peppers and mix.

  5. Divide batter evenly into a greased muffin tin.

  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  7. Let cool for 5 minutes then serve.
