Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, water, and salt. Knead to form a smooth dough.

  2. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and roll each portion into a thin circle.

  3. In a separate bowl, mix spinach and feta cheese together.

  4. Spread the spinach and cheese mixture evenly onto one half of each dough circle. Fold the other half over to form a half-moon shape.

  5. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Brush one side of the gözleme with melted butter and place it in the pan, buttered side down.

  6. Cook for 3-4 minutes, then brush the top with melted butter before flipping it over. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until golden and crispy.

  7. Repeat with the remaining gözlemes.

  8. Remove from heat and cut each gözleme into wedges. Serve hot.
