Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 cups Swiss chard, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Olive oil, for cooking
Instructions
-
In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Slowly add in the olive oil and warm water, kneading until a smooth dough forms. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
-
In a separate bowl, mix together the Swiss chard, onion, garlic, feta cheese, dill, salt, and pepper.
-
Divide the dough into 4 equal balls. On a floured surface, roll each ball out into a thin circle.
-
Place a quarter of the filling mixture onto one half of each circle. Fold the other half over the filling and seal the edges by pressing firmly with your fingers.
-
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook each gözleme for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
-
Repeat with the remaining gözlemes.
-
Cut each gözleme into quarters and serve hot.
