Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 2 cups Swiss chard, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil, for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Slowly add in the olive oil and warm water, kneading until a smooth dough forms. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the Swiss chard, onion, garlic, feta cheese, dill, salt, and pepper.

  3. Divide the dough into 4 equal balls. On a floured surface, roll each ball out into a thin circle.

  4. Place a quarter of the filling mixture onto one half of each circle. Fold the other half over the filling and seal the edges by pressing firmly with your fingers.

  5. Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook each gözleme for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

  6. Repeat with the remaining gözlemes.

  7. Cut each gözleme into quarters and serve hot.
