How To Make Dandan Noodles

Ingredients

  • 8 oz dried egg noodles
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns, crushed
  • 2 tbsp chili garlic sauce
  • 2 tbsp Chinese sesame paste
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the ground pork, garlic, and ginger. Cook until the pork is browned and cooked through.

  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, chili garlic sauce, sesame paste, and chicken broth.

  4. Add the sauce to the skillet with the ground pork. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  5. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.

  6. Remove from heat and stir in the green onions and sesame oil. Season with salt to taste.

  7. Serve the Dandan Noodles hot, garnished with more sliced green onions.
