  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup grated onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
  • 8 oz egg noodles, cooked according to package instructions

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, grated onion, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Shape into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.

  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides. Remove meatballs from skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms, diced onion, and minced garlic. Cook until onions are translucent and mushrooms are tender.

  4. In a small bowl, whisk together beef broth, sour cream, flour, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour into the skillet with the mushrooms and onions. Stir well to combine.

  5. Return the meatballs to the skillet and simmer for 15 minutes, or until meatballs are cooked through and the sauce has thickened.

  6. Serve the meatballs and sauce over cooked egg noodles. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
