Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes before use
  • Tzatziki sauce, for serving
  • Pita bread, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, paprika, cumin, oregano, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix well.

  2. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and toss to coat. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for optimal flavor.

  3. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.

  4. Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto skewers, about 4-5 pieces per skewer.

  5. Grill the kebabs for about 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.

  6. Remove from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

  7. Serve the Turkish Chicken Kebabs with tzatziki sauce and warm pita bread.
