  • 250g ground lamb
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for brushing
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground lamb, chopped onion, tomatoes, minced garlic, bell peppers, tomato paste, cumin, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.

  2. Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).

  3. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and roll each portion into a thin circular shape.

  4. Spread a generous amount of the minced meat mixture on each dough circle, leaving a small border around the edges.

  5. Place the lahmacuns on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

  6. Brush the edges of the lahmacuns with olive oil.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes or until the crust is crispy and golden.

  8. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley.

  9. Serve hot with lemon wedges.
