How To Make Honey Baked Spiral Ham

In this recipe, cooked spiral ham is baked once again with a homemade glaze of honey, pineapple and orange juices, brown sugar, and dijon mustard.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 9lbspiral bone-in ham,fully cooked

For Glaze:

  • cuppineapple juice
  • ½orange,juiced
  • 2tspdijon mustard
  • ¼cuphoney
  • 1tbspbrown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 275 degrees F.

  2. Place ham in a roasting pan, cut side down. Cover tightly with foil or place in a baking bag.

  3. Bake ham in oven at 12 to 15 minutes per pound, depending on the size of the ham.

Glaze:

  1. In a small sauce pan, combine brown sugar, honey, orange juice, pineapple juice and dijon. Whisk well and simmer on low for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring often until it reduces down and thickens into a glaze.

  2. Remove ham from oven 15 minutes before the ham is ready and brush the glaze onto the ham.

  3. Finish cooking the ham for the last 15 minutes uncovered.
