How To Make Crispy Baked Scallops

These crispy baked scallops makes the perfect dinner meal! They’re well-seasoned and baked until perfectly brown. Whip this up in just under 30 minutes.

  • 16large sea scallops,(1½ lbs)
  • ½tspkosher salt
  • ¼tspcoarse ground black pepper
  • ¼tsppaprika
  • tspcayenne pepper
  • ½cuppanko bread crumbs
  • 4tbspParmesan cheese,grated
  • 2tbspparsley,chopped
  • 4tbspunsalted butter,melted
  • 2tbspextra-virgin olive oil


  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

  2. Dry the scallops well with a paper towel and remove any attached side-muscle on the scallop by pinching and tearing it away from the scallop.

  3. Combine the salt, pepper, paprika, cayenne, panko, Parmesan, parsley, olive oil, and butter in a bowl, stirring well until combined.

  4. Place the scallops into an 8×10-inch baking dish, then cover with the bread crumb mixture.

  5. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until the topping is browned.

  6. Serve warm, and enjoy!
