Preparation: 15 minutes
Cooking: 1 hour
Total: 1 hour and 15 minutes

  • 1 whole chicken (about 4 pounds)
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon of dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • Cooking spray

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

  2. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, rosemary, salt, and black pepper to create a seasoning rub.

  3. Pat dry the chicken using paper towels. Rub the seasoning mixture all over the chicken, making sure to get it under the skin as well.

  4. Place the chicken on the rotisserie spit and secure it tightly. If your air fryer doesn’t have a rotisserie function, you can place the chicken on a wire rack inside the air fryer basket.

  5. Spray the chicken with cooking spray to help crisp up the skin.

  6. Insert the rotisserie spit into the air fryer and cook for 1 hour, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

  7. Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.

  8. Serve the air fryer rotisserie chicken with your favorite side dishes.
