How To Make Peppercorn and Gruyere Cheese Souffle Recipe

Ingredients
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp flour
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1 cup gruyere cheese, grated
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease 4 individual souffle dishes.

Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Whisk in flour, black pepper, and salt.

Gradually whisk in milk and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and comes to a boil.

Remove from heat and whisk in egg yolks and gruyere cheese.

In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.

Gently fold egg whites into cheese mixture.
