Ingredients

  • 4 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. In a large pot, boil sweet potatoes until tender, about 10-15 minutes.

  3. Drain sweet potatoes and mash them in a large bowl.

  4. Add melted butter, brown sugar, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt. Mix well.

  5. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish.

  6. Add chopped pecans on top and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.

  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
