How To Make Squeamish Squares

Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.

Add the cold butter cubes to the flour mixture and rub them in with your fingertips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

Stir in the grated cheddar cheese and chopped green onions.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and beaten egg.

Pour the milk and egg mixture into the flour mixture and stir until just combined.

Transfer the batter to the greased baking dish and spread it out evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
