How To Make Peanut Butter Chicken Curry

A creamy and flavorful chicken curry made with the richness of peanut butter.

Ingredients

  • 500g boneless chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add onions. Cook until they turn translucent.

  2. Add garlic and ginger. Cook for a minute.

  3. Add chicken pieces and cook until they are browned.

  4. In a small bowl, mix peanut butter, curry powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.

  5. Add the peanut butter mixture to the chicken and mix well.

  6. Pour in the coconut milk and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.

  7. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan bread.
