How To Make Garlicky Green Beans

A flavorful and garlicky side dish of green beans that will add a burst of freshness to any meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook until crisp-tender, about 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  3. Add the green beans to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil. Cook for another 5-7 minutes, until the beans are tender and slightly blistered.

  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
