How To Make Easy Garam Masala

This aromatic garam masala is a basic spice blend to add warmth and depth to any Indian dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp coriander seeds
  • 1 tbsp cardamom pods
  • 1 tbsp black peppercorns
  • 2-3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tsp cloves

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Add all the spices and toast them for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  3. Remove from heat and let cool for a minute or two.

  4. Transfer to a spice grinder or mortar and pestle and grind the mixture until it becomes a powder.

  5. Store in an airtight container.
