How To Make Slow Cooker Chicken Tikka Masala
A creamy and flavorful Indian dish made with tender chicken cooked in aromatic spices and a creamy tomato sauce.

Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp tikka masala spice blend
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
- Cooked basmati rice, for serving
- Naan bread, for serving
Instructions

In a bowl, combine the yogurt and tikka masala spice blend. Add the chicken pieces and toss to coat. Marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour or overnight.

In a slow cooker, combine the marinated chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, turmeric, paprika, cumin, garam masala, and cayenne pepper. Stir well to combine.

Cover and cook on low for 4 hours until the chicken is tender and cooked through.

Stir in the heavy cream and let cook for an additional 15 minutes.

Serve the chicken tikka masala over cooked basmati rice, garnished with fresh cilantro. Serve with naan bread on the side.
