How To Make Tamarind Dipping Sauce Recipe

A tangy and flavorful dipping sauce made with tamarind pulp, perfect addition to any appetizer.

  • 1/2 cup tamarind pulp
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/4 tsp red chili flakes
  • salt, to taste


  1. In a small saucepan, combine tamarind pulp and water. Simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  2. Add honey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, red chili flakes, and salt to the saucepan. Stir until well combined.

  3. Simmer for additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Remove from heat and let cool.

  5. Serve as a dipping sauce with your favorite appetizers.
