How To Make Smoked Cheddar & Chilli Jam Croquettes

Ingredients

  • 200g smoked cheddar, grated
  • 4 tbsp chilli jam
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 150g breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the grated smoked cheddar and chilli jam. Mix well until evenly combined.

  2. Shape the mixture into small croquettes, about the size of your thumb.

  3. Dip each croquette into the beaten eggs, then coat it with breadcrumbs. Repeat this step for all croquettes.

  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or pot. Fry the croquettes until golden brown and crispy on the outside.

  5. Remove from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  6. Serve the Smoked Cheddar & Chilli Jam Croquettes hot as an appetizer or snack.
