How To Make Steamed chocolate, stout & prune pudding recipe

Ingredients
- 200g self-raising flour
- 50g cocoa powder
- 100g unsalted butter, softened
- 150g caster sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 200ml stout beer
- 150g prunes, chopped
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Butter or oil, for greasing
Instructions

Grease a pudding basin with butter or oil.

In a mixing bowl, sift the flour and cocoa powder together.

In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the stout beer and vanilla extract.

Gradually fold in the flour mixture until well combined.

Stir in the chopped prunes.

Spoon the mixture into the greased pudding basin and smooth the top.

Cover the pudding basin with a double layer of parchment paper and tie securely with kitchen string.

Place the pudding basin in a steamer set over boiling water.

Steam the pudding for 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove from the steamer and let it cool for a few minutes before turning it out onto a serving plate.
