- 4 cups stale bread, cubed
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.

In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes and chopped pecans.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, milk, heavy cream, eggs, vanilla extract, and maple syrup.

Pour the mixture over the bread and pecans, gently pressing the bread down to ensure it absorbs the liquid.
