How To Make Strawberry Chiffon Pie

Ingredients
- 1 cup crushed graham crackers
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and mashed
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 2 egg whites
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup whipped cream
Instructions

In a bowl, mix the crushed graham crackers and melted butter. Press onto the bottom and sides of a pie dish. Chill in the refrigerator.

In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let stand for 5 minutes.

In a saucepan, combine mashed strawberries and sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in gelatin mixture until dissolved. Allow to cool.

In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.

Gently fold whipped cream into the cooled strawberry mixture, then fold in the beaten egg whites.

Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or until set.

Serve chilled, topped with whipped cream and fresh strawberries.
