Ingredients

  • 6 slices of brioche bread
  • 4 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup of melted butter
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a saucepan, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Cook over medium heat until the apples are softened, about 5 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat and let the apple mixture cool slightly.

  4. Butter a round baking dish and line the sides with the brioche bread slices, overlapping them slightly.

  5. Spoon the cooked apple mixture into the center of the dish, spreading it evenly.

  6. Place the remaining brioche slices on top of the apples, pressing down lightly.

  7. Pour the melted butter over the top of the bread.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until the bread is golden and crispy.

  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.

  10. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
