
How To Make Ube Panna Cotta
Indulge yourself with a serving of this delicate and creamy ube panna cotta, made from purple yam that gives the dish a beautiful purple hue!

Ingredients
- 1ube,(purple yam), peeled
- 1½cupswhole milk,divided
- 1cupcoconut milk
- ½cupwhite sugar
- ¼ozgelatin,(1 package), unflavored
Instructions

Place a steamer inserted into a saucepan and fill with water until just below the bottom of the steamer. Bring the water to a boil.

Add the ube, cover, and steam for about 20 minutes, until tender. Cool until easily handled.

Puree the ube in a blender or food processor, or thoroughly mash by hand.

Combine 1 cup of the pureed ube, ¾ cup of milk, coconut milk, and sugar in a blender or food processor. Blend until completely smooth.

Pour remaining ¾ cup whole milk into a saucepan. Sprinkle gelatin on top. Let stand for 5 minutes.

Heat the milk-gelatin mixture over medium-low heat for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring until gelatin is dissolved.

Pour in the ube mixture and increase the heat to medium. Heat until the steam starts to rise from the mixture for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Pour the mixture into individual serving glasses or molds.

Transfer to the refrigerator and chill for about 3 hours until set.
