How To Make Broiler Icing With Walnuts

This broiler icing is a great pair to an oatmeal cake made with walnuts, coconut, and butter toasted under the broiler until bubbly.

  • 1cupbrown sugar
  • ¼cupbutter,melted
  • ¼cupcream
  • 1cupcoconut,flaked
  • ½cupwalnuts,chopped

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine brown sugar, butter, and cream. Mix in coconut and chopped nuts.

  2. Spread icing over cooled cake. Place cake under broiler for 2 minutes or until bubbly.
