  • 5eggs
  • ozunsalted butter,at room temperature
  • 8ozall purpose flour
  • 7ozgranulated sugar
  • ¼cupmilk
  • 1tspvanilla extract
  • ½tspbaking powder
  • cooking spray

To Serve (Optional):

  • 1lbchocolate frosting


  1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F and grease a 7-inch springform cake tin of your choice with cooking spray.

  2. Sift the flour and baking powder. Set aside.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar for 8 to 10 minutes until pale and fluffy.

  4. Add the vanilla extract and milk. Continue creaming.
