How To Make Crème Brûlée Cake
This crème brûlée cake is made with a vanilla cake base, topped with a rich cream and vanilla pudding. It’s sprinkled with sugar then broiled until golden.

Ingredients
- cooking spray,for pan
- all purpose flour,for pan
- 1boxvanilla cake mix,plus ingredients called for on the box
- 2boxesinstant vanilla pudding mix
- 1½cupswhole milk
- 1cupheavy cream
- 2tsppure vanilla extract
- ½cupgranulated sugar
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease and flour a 9×13-inch cake pan.

Prepare vanilla cake mix according to box instructions.

Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for about 25 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Let cool completely before topping.

To make the topping, in a large bowl, combine pudding mix, milk, heavy cream, and vanilla. Whisk until the mixture just begins to thicken.

Spread pudding mixture over the cooled cake and refrigerate for at least 1 hour and up to 4 hours until cold or until ready to bake.

Heat broiler.

Sprinkle sugar all over the surface of the pudding layer as evenly as possible.

Broil for about 2 minutes the cake until the sugar starts to turn golden. Watch very carefully as this can happen fast. Serve immediately
