Nduja Lasagne Recipe

How To Make Nduja Lasagne

Ingredients

  • 9 lasagne noodles
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 250g nduja sausage
  • 400g crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 250g ricotta cheese
  • 150g mozzarella cheese, grated
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. Cook the lasagne noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and cook until softened and translucent.

  4. Add the nduja sausage to the skillet and break it up with a wooden spoon. Cook until the sausage is browned and cooked through.

  5. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

  6. In a separate bowl, combine the ricotta cheese and half of the grated mozzarella cheese.

  7. To assemble the lasagne, spread a thin layer of the nduja sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Place a layer of lasagne noodles on top, followed by a layer of the ricotta cheese mixture. Repeat this process until all the ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of sauce on top.

  8. Sprinkle the remaining grated mozzarella cheese over the top of the lasagne.

  9. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.

  10. Remove from the oven and let the lasagne rest for a few minutes before serving.

  11. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
