How To Make Italian Sunday Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

In a large pot, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat. Drain excess fat.

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot and sauté until onion becomes translucent.

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, and tomato paste. Mix well.

Pour in the red wine and add the dried basil, dried oregano, dried thyme, dried rosemary, and dried parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Reduce heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for at least 3 hours, stirring occasionally.

Serve the sauce over your favorite pasta, such as spaghetti or rigatoni.
