How To Make Chinese Tofu Stir-Fry
A quick and easy stir-fry dish with flavors of soy sauce, garlic, and ginger.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 14 oz firm tofu, pressed and cut into cubes
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Green onions, chopped, for garnish
Instructions

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.

In a wok or large skillet, heat vegetable oil over high heat.

Add tofu cubes and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until lightly browned. Remove from pan and set aside.

In the same pan, add red and green bell peppers, onion, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until vegetables are slightly softened.

Return tofu to the pan and add the soy sauce mixture. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce has thickened and tofu and vegetables are fully coated.

Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
