How To Make Lone Star Chicken Fried Steak Recipe
A classic southern dish with a crispy coating, juicy steak, and creamy gravy.

Ingredients
- 4 cube steaks
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- Oil for frying
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cups milk
Instructions

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

In a shallow dish, mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

In another shallow dish, whisk eggs and buttermilk.

Dredge each steak in flour mixture, dip into egg mixture, then coat in flour mixture again.

Fry steaks until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Remove steaks and drain on paper towel-lined plate.

In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.

Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.

Gradually whisk in milk and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.
